Upload your submission in the appropriate section as a single archive (.zip or .rar file) with the following title: YY-MM-DD-Lastname (e.g., 24-09-16-Stepanek). Make certain that the uploaded archive contains the cover letter signed by the corresponding author (in .pdf format), the manuscript text (prepared using the journal’s template and saved as a document file), all figures (in .tif format and at least 300 DPI resolution), as well as any supplementary files that will be needed for the review process. Uploads should not exceed 20 MB – if your submission is above this limit, use different format for figures (e.g., .jpg) or reduce resolution as necessary (details should still be clearly visible and if the manuscript is accepted, you must provide figures in the required format and resolution). Revised manuscripts should be submitted by email to the subject editor who is handling the submission, with a reference to the manuscript submission number.
Not following the above instructions (e.g., misnaming your sumbission, uploading to wrong section) may lead to significant delays in editor response and review times.
In order to upload your submission, you need to provide your email address. After a successful upload, you will receive an automatic confirmation with assigned manuscript number, so please make certain you type in a valid email address. The subject editor of the respective section will contact the corresponding author by email within the following 10 days with regards to the first decision and the required next steps.
